Don Wildfong

Chair, Continuing Education and Specialty Programs, School of Health and Life Sciences and Community Services, Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning Don graduated from the Bachelor of Nursing Science program from Queens University in Kingston Ontario in 2006 and completed the Master of Science at McMaster University in 2009. During his tenure at McMaster, Don also completed a graduate diploma in health services and policy research. Don is currently the Chair of Continuing Education and Specialty Programs in the School of Health and Life Sciences and Community Services at Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. In this role, his primary responsibility is to advance educational and practice development program offerings in the areas of enhanced seniors care, palliative/end-of-life care and mental health care and services. Prior to coming to the College in 2014, Don held the position of senior nurse advisor with the Policy and Leadership Division at the Canadian Nurses Association. Don has been actively involved in knowledge translation, advocacy and political action to advance mental health and addiction services at the international, national, provincial and regional levels.
